A two-day summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum will begin on Monday on the Indonesian island of Bali. Regional leaders are expected to discuss the region’s development and joint economic projects, and are likely to address Syria on the sidelines. Russian President Vladimir Putin will mark his 61st birthday during the summit.
