A headache for locals and foreigners alike, Russian bureaucracy and paperwork may soon get easier to work through, with new reforms approved by officials.
The new strategy developed by the Ministry of Economic Development is likely to change things for the better.
By 2020 all government officials will be obliged to speak at least one foreign language fluently.
There will be also an opportunity to take a paid holiday in order to enroll in a graduate program at a foreign university.
More importantly, the ministry is promising that the majority of Russian laws will be translated into English. Priority will be given to documents regulating business activities.
