Russia’s Federal Protection Service, the FSO put out a $25,000 tender on Wednesday to buy accessories for musical instruments.
In a post on the government website goszakupki,gov.ru, the FSO, which provides security for Russia’s top brass, said it needed maintenance items for electric guitars, saxophones, trombones, flutes, clarinets and drums.
The tender message did not explain why the service required the equipment.
