Russian athletes Anastasia Baryshnikova and Olga Ivanova fought their way to bronze medals on Friday at the World Taekwondo Championships in South Korea on Friday.
Baryshnikova, European champion in the under 73 kg category, went down in the semifinal to France’s Gladys Epangue, making her a twice world champion.
Ivanova, who only turned 18 in March, also went out in the semifinal in the under 73 kg class.
Russia has so far won three bronzes in the 2011 championship. On Thursday, Seyfula Magomedov took a bronze in the under 54 kg class. The championship ends on May 6.
