SOCHI, August 4 (Itar-Tass) —— South Ossetia’s joining Russia presently is not possible, Russia’s President Dmitry Medvedev said in an interview with the Echo of Moscow radio station, the Russia Today television channel and Georgia’s First Caucasus Channel on Thursday.
“I believe there are no legal preconditions for it presently,” Medvedev said.
“It is impossible to guess what will be in future, as events may develop differently, but presently neither legal or factual preconditions exist, and that was to do with my orders /on South Ossetia and Abkhazia’s independence/,” he repeated.
