Satellites failure won’t affect GLONASS

The failed launch of three GLONASS satellites is not likely to substantially affect the functioning of the entire space navigation system, the Russian Defense Ministry told Interfax. The ministry said that Russia currently has a total of 26 GLONASS satellites in orbit, two of them in reserve status. This provides complete coverage of Russia’s territory with navigation signals.
