Sloan Appointed Head of BP Russia

Scott Sloan is to take up the post of President of BP Russia, replacing Jeremy Huck who will take up a post in the British company’s London headquarters, Huck told Prime news agency on Friday.

Sloan, formerly Huck’s deputy, currently holds the post of chief financial officer in BP Russia, Huck said.

BP considers Russia as one of the key assets in the company’s global portfolio. Russian-British joint venture TNK-BP is the company’s largest business in Russia.

The British company is also exploring offshore Sakhalin island in partnership with the Russian oil major Rosneft.
