Solis my most difficult opponent – elder Klitschko

WBC heavyweight world champion Vitaly Klitschko says he will be facing the most difficult opponent of his career on Saturday as he defends his WBC title against Odlanier Solis in Cologne, Germany.

Both boxers entered the ring on Wednesday for light training sessions in front of hundreds of spectators.

Solis is from Cuba and a former Olympic and world amateur champion, who remains unbeaten after 17 fights as a professional.

But although respectful of his opponent’s record, 39-year-old Klitschko is supremely confident, having won 41 of his 43 fights, including 38 knockouts.

“I think he’s the most difficult opponent in my career. I have some special points in my preparation. I know he’s very fast. I know he has good speed. And that’s why I use a sparring partner, who has very good skills. The skills like my opponent. I’ve prepared a special present for Solis,” the elder of the Klitschko brothers said.
