A Soyuz spacecraft takes off from Kazakhstan on Wednesday, making its way to the International Space Station. The craft’s crew, a Russian, a Canadian and an American, are due to spend six months in orbit, before joining three other astronauts who have been manning the $100bn (£61bn) space station since October
