Media reports in Georgia say Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin’s personal train car, housed in a museum in the eastern city of Gori, has been damaged.
A museum official told journalists that a storm destroyed the building’s roof on March 24. It fell on the armored train car used by Stalin in the 1930s and ’40s.
None of the tourists inside the train car was injured.
The Stalin museum was established in 1957 and has a collection of exhibits related to Stalin’s birth in Gori in 1878, as well as his life, and his death in Moscow in 1953.
The storm that hit over the weekend also caused damage elsewhere around the country.
Floods were reported in several districts along the Black Sea coast.
One person reportedly died and about 100,000 people lost electric power.
