MOSCOW, Aug 17 (PRIME) — Gold output in Russia rose 11% on the year in JanuaryJuly, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report Wednesday.
Previously, absolute figures on the production of non-ferrous metals were a state secret in Russia. Though now declassified, government agencies have not yet started reporting them.
Silver output in this period fell 1.7%, while uncut diamond output was up 8.6% in, the service said.
In 2010, gold output in Russia rose 1.0% on the year, silver output rose 1.6%, and diamond output increased 4.3%, the service said earlier.
