Strabag to Build Ports in North-West, South Russia

Austrian construction company Strabag plans to build port facilities in the Leningrad and Rostov Regions in north-western and southern Russia, adviser to the Strabag president Alexander Tolkachyov said on Monday.

“We have good port construction projects. They are currently at the discussion stage, including for Leningrad and Rostov Regions. We’ll act as general contractors for the projects while investment will come from the Russian side,” Tolkachyov said.

Today Strabag, which was founded in 1835 and has been operating under the Ilbau brand on the Russian market, is completing construction of two metals plants in Bologoye in Tver Region and Vyksa in Nizhny Novgorod Region. The company is also building a meat plant in Kurgan Region.

Strabag is also building several residential complexes in Moscow.
