Survivor of 20th Storey Plunge Discharged from Hospital

VLADIVOSTOK, December 7 (RIA Novosti) – A man from Russia’s Far Eastern city of Vladivostok, who survived after falling from the 20th storey of a residential building last month, was discharged from a hospital, a spokesman for the hospital said.

On November 5, a drunken man leaned out of a window to have a smoke late at night, but fell out. He survived because he fell on the roof of a parked SUV.

“The man has been long transferred from the intensive care to a common ward and today he was sent home for an outward treatment,” the spokesman said adding that the lucky survivor of the 20th storey plunge has all chances for a full recovery.

He also said that the man feels well and, despite multiple fractures that he suffered after the fall, he already walks on his own.
