A suicide bomber driving an explosives-laden car rammed the gates of a NATO base and military airfield in Jalalabad, Afghanistan, in the latest attack by Taliban militants against the US-led multinational force deployed in the country. An estimated 8 to 10 insurgents, along with several Afghan government troops, died in the ensuing shootout.
