An 865-kilogram porridge that was cooked up last month in the central Russian city of Tula has been registered as the world’s biggest by the Guinness Book of World Records, the city administration said on Wednesday.
The porridge, enough to feed more than 3,000 people, was cooked in Tula on September 10 to mark the city’s 865th anniversary.
“The process of officially recognizing the new Guinness world record began on September 12 and has concluded successfully,” the administration said.
The previous record was a 530-kilogram porridge registered in the U.K. in July 2010.
