Two Hundred Evacuated Due to Downtown Moscow Fire

Two hundred people were evacuated from an administrative building in downtown Moscow on Wednesday evening due to a small fire, the Russian capital’s emergencies department reported.

“The fire was caused by a short circuit in the building in an area of 0.5 sq m,” a department spokesman said, adding that no one was killed or injured.

The spokesman said the fire, which occurred on Tverskaya Street, has been extinguished.
