President Medvedev has proposed United Russia MP Vladimir Gruzdev as the next head of the Tula Region.
Gruzdev is already serving as the region’s interim governor. He is a rising star in United Russia, having quickly established himself in the Duma, where he heads a legislation-review committee.
Tula Region’s former head Vyacheslav Dudka resigned following a 40 million ruble bribery scandal involving one of his employees. The FSB arrested Dudka for questioning in February.
