Ural Airlines has transitioned to the next-generation IT platform for passenger service, designed by the leading transaction processor Amadeus.

The Amadeus Altea system opens up whole new opportunities for air travelers. Customers will be able to construct the best plan for flights to any destination, via the shortest route and taking into account all existing interline agreements as well as the flight schedules of other airlines. The new system will also give the air carrier the best flexibility in designing fare schedules and loyalty programs for frequent fliers.

Ural Airlines press office told RusBusinessNews that the Altea platform is used by more than 110 of the top global airlines, including Air France, KLM, Lufthansa, British Airways, Qantas, Air Berlin, Qatar Airways, Finnair, Air Astana, and Rossiya.

Ural Airlines is among the six leading Russian airlines in terms of safety and volume of traffic. In 2012 the carrier served over 3.5 million passengers. Its primary fleet consists of 26 Airbus aircraft.
