Vodka Maker’s Co-Founders Arrested for Extortion – Source

Russian police have arrested Yuri Manilov and Sergei Kupriyanov, co-founders of Parliament Group, which produces mid-premium Parliament vodka, on suspicion of large-scale extortion, a top source in the Russian Interior Ministry told RIA Novosti on Thursday.

“The co-founders of Parliament Group, Yuri Manilov and Sergei Kupriyanov, were arrested today in the Moscow region. They are suspected of a large-scale extortion related to illegal acquisition of company shares,” the source said.

The Interior Ministry as well as Parliament Group were unavailable for immediate comment to RIA Novosti.
