TOMSK, July 24 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s Vostokgazprom, a division of Gazprom, plans to launch in mid August a gas pipeline of 206 kilometres for transportation of associated gas.
The new gas pipeline will transport associated gas inside the Tomsk Region from the Kazan deposit to Meldzhinsky facilities to process gas.
After processing, the gas will be directed to a major gas pipeline to be delivered to consumers. The project of 3,500 million roubles will let the company use up to 100 percent of associated gas. Until recently, associated gas was burned.
In 2012, Vostokgazprom plans to transport and process 500-600 million cubic metres of associated gas a year.
“The capacity may be compared to an independent deposit,” the company’s spokesman Vladislav Razmanov said. “Later on, gas from other deposits in this region will be transported by this new pipeline.”
In 2011, Vostokgazprom plans to produce over 3,110 million cubic metres of gas /in 2010, it produced 2,857 million cubic metres/ and about 1,080 thousand tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons, including gas condensate and oil.
