In 2013, the VSMPO-AVISMA Corporation, OJSC plans to ship 1.6 billion rubles’ worth of products, which is 12% more than the year before.
This total takes into account sales by the VSMPO-Avisma Corporation, OJSC as well as its subsidiaries: VSMPO Titan Ukraine Ltd.; Tirus, which covers sales on the European and North American markets; and NFM International (USA), a manufacturer of titanium billet and bar stock. In 2012, VSMPO alone shipped 30 thousand tons of titanium products and this figure is planned to be increased upto 32 thousand tons in 2013.
The corporation’s press office told RusBusinessNews that VSMPO is more than holding its own against its competitors. The company supplies over 60% of the titanium products needed by the aircraft giant Airbus, 100% for Embraer, and about 40% for Boeing. VSMPO also manufactures approximately 30% of the parts needed by engine-building companies.
