The newlyweds, Prince William and Catherine Middleton have delayed their honeymoon and stayed in Britain for a weekend, a St James’s Palace spokesman said on Saturday.
Earlier the Palace’s press service said that the Royal couple had flown off from Buckingham Palace in a helicopter this morning, reportedly heading for their honeymoon destination.
However, the St James’s Palace said that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would spend a “private weekend in the United Kingdom before The Duke returns to work as a Search and Rescue pilot next week.”
“The Couple have asked that their privacy be respected during the coming weekend and during their honeymoon,” the spokesman said.
Newlyweds’ destination remains secret, though the bookmakers bet on Scotland, Jordan, Australia and Kenya, as William is known to be deeply keen on Africa.
