MOSCOW, November 9 (RIA Novosti) – A woman in Samara has confessed to committing 12 separate arson attacks, the local police said on Friday.
“Currently her mental state is being evaluated in order to establish whether or not she can be held responsible,” the police press release added.
Saunas, haylofts and sheds in the village of Pogornoe were burned to the ground over the August – October period, police sources say. The suspect was detained in connection with the attacks late last month, and faces charges of criminal damage and arson, with a potential prison term of up to five years.
