The Northrop Grumman X-47B unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV), which can take off from an aircraft carrier’s deck, performed its first flight at Edwards Air Force Base in California. The X-47B resembles a scaled-down replica of the Northrop Grumman B-2 Stealth Bomber and is intended to fly tactical strike missions with carrier air wings.
