Give them an adventure and they will turn it into fashion. Cutting-edge Italian fashion duo Frankie Morello sent a wave of their playful spirit down the catwalk at Russia’s fashion week, in full swing in Moscow.
When some say that a work of art is above all an adventure of the mind, this proves just the case with the Italian brand.
Frankie Morello’s Spring-Summer Collection is awash with the spirit of adventure, sightseeing and wayfaring.
Portofino, Venice, Rome, Pisa… some of Italy’s most romantic places became the main “acting characters” of their latest collection.
Their muse is sexy and ironic, without a trace of pomposity. Wherever she goes, she travels light, with just one rucksack.

Changing flared skirts like gloves, she pairs them with pants arriving right above the ankle and tops beneath the bust, reminiscent of the American look.
It is the designers’ signature version of the perfect “cyclist style” where comfort and irony come first and glamor second.
T-shirts, dresses and hats become more than just clothes to wrap you up but funky postcards to wear as a keepsake of the 1950’s Italy and La Dolce Vita.
Founded in 1999, the Frankie Morello brand is a fusion of creative ideas by Maurizio Modica and Pierfrancesco Gigliotti.
For over a decade, stepping outside convention, swimming against the stream, trespassing over the borders have been quintessential ingredients for them.

Their philosophy is unconventional to the point where it expresses the consideration of a defect as the key ingredient of their designs. They perceive it as a one-off artistic detail, saying that imperfection makes perfect.
“Order arises from disorder. Disorder springing from a mixture of fabrics, themes, colors and settings that together are incongruous, but are characterised by clear keys to interpretation. A refined balance of opposites, pleasingly in harmony with each other, in which minor details become the characteristic elements of a garment,” is their description.
Equipped with their five senses, they owe something to extravagance. And whenever they have a chance to have an adventure, they do not miss it, looking ahead to something new and exciting.
