MOSCOW, July 27 (Itar-Tass) —— The ecological situation has worsened in the Russian capital over the heat, a source in the Moscow weather forecasting service told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
“Unfavourable weather conditions emerged over harmful admixtures emitted in the air amid the heat in Moscow. A high air pollution level is expected on July 27 and in the small hours on July 28,” the source said. The Moscow weather forecasting service noted that enterprises in the Moscow Region were instructed to cut the emissions by 15-20% from 6 p.m. Moscow time on July 27 until 9 a.m. Moscow time on July 28, 2011.
“On Thursday afternoon, the ecological situation will improve slightly in Moscow and the Moscow Region, but the air pollution level is expected to remain excessive, particularly near major industrial zones and at major traffic junctions,” the source underlined.
