MOSCOW, July 27 (Itar-Tass) —— The Russian Prosecutor General’s Office instructed the Moscow prosecutor to inspect jointly with other controlling agencies the personal data leak of the buyers in dozens of Internet shops, spokesperson of the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office Marina Gridneva told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
“The results of the Prosecutor General’s Office monitoring of the Internet information exposed violations of the legislation in the personal data security,” she noted. “The detectives found out that the personal data of buyers in several dozens of Internet shops turned out to be in the free access through the search engines Yandex and Google,” she pointed out.
Meanwhile, “according to some media reports, the restricted access official documents of several state agencies were found to leak in the search engine Google,” she added.
“Therefore, the Prosecutor General’s Office instructed the Moscow prosecutor jointly with other controlling agencies to investigate the foresaid facts and to take proper retaliatory measures,” Gridneva said.
The Prosecutor General’s Office inspected how the legislation is observed in the personal data security and the official information of state agencies.
