It has been decided not to release radioactive stream at Fukushima-1’s nuclear reactor, as the pressure inside its power unit has finally normalized.
A pressure buildup was earlier registered in the outer steel shell of the reactor, producing a threat of a major a steam emission that could lead to increased radiation levels around the plant and slow down the process of restoring its cooling system.
Japan’s destructive earthquake of March 11th caused explosions at Fukushima-1 power plant’s four energy units and subsequent radiation leaks.
