The International Skating Union will make the final decision of whether to hold the World Cup in Japan or not on Monday, the organization said in a statement on Sunday.
The World Cup was to be held in Tokyo in March 21-27 but now it is under question following the recent earthquake in Japan.
On Friday, Japan’s Skating Federation decided to hold the competition as it was earlier planned.
Many countries urged their citizens to refrain from trips to Japan until the situation becomes stable again.
