St.Petersburg Airport Reopened After Bomb Search

MOSCOW, April 19 (RIA Novosti) – St. Petersburg airport has resumed operations on Friday morning after the police carried out a search following a bomb threat.

The Interior Ministry had to evacuate some 1,500 people from Pulkovo Airport and suspend flights from Russia’s second-largest city after an anonymous caller warned of explosives at the airport. No explosives were found, an airport spokesperson said.

Some 20 flights including international departures were delayed.
