BARNAUL, July 17 (Itar-Tass) —— Five persons died and 17 others were injured as a passenger bus rammed into a heavy duty truck in Russia’s Tambov region, a spokesman for the regional emergencies administration told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
According to the spokesman, the bus was en route from Semipalatinsk (Kazakhstan) to Tomsk when in collided into the Kamaz truck some five kilometers off the settlement of Mashkovo. According to preliminary data, there were 35 passengers inside the bus, of whom five were killed and 17 injured. “The information is being verified. Some reports say there were 38 people inside the bus,” the spokesman said.
An investigation is underway.
