Charges brought against murderer of family of five in Tula

TULA, August 11 (Itar-Tass) —— Charges have been brought against a young man who is suspected of slaying a family of five in the city of Tula in central European Russia, a spokesman for the regional administration of the Russian Investigations Committee said on Thursday.

“Ivan Ivanchenko, 19, a Tula resident, is charged with the murder of five persons, including three children, with an eye to hide another crime (Part 2, Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code),” the spokesman said.

According to investigator, overnight to July 25, Ivanchenko killed his girlfriend, her mother and three minor children at their apartment. He pleaded guilty.

“Investigative actions are now being taken to establish all details of the crime. Investigation is underway,” the spokesman added.
