MOSCOW, March 29 (RIA Novosti) – The development of online social networking and social media is a goal for all Russian ministers and governors, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday.
Medvedev is registered on Twitter, has a blog on LiveJournal and an account on YouTube.
Medvedev’s Twitter and LiveJournal accounts have been named the best blogs in the Russian-language Internet in 2011.
According to Medvedev, all the leaders should get used to working in conditions of immediate feedback provided by the application of new technologies.
“I think any manager has to get used to the fact that he can get information right through the social network about various events, sometimes extremely sad or just very hard-hitting. There is nothing peculiar about this, you just need to be patient and treat it as one of the achievements of scientific progress,” Medvedev said.
In his Twitter blog, MedvedevRussia (MedvedevRussiaE in English), the president shares his views of events in Russia and abroad, posts photographs that he takes, and responds to questions asked by other Twitter users.
