MOSCOW, March 29 (RIA Novosti) – Three policemen and a gunman have been killed in a shootout in Russia’s volatile southern republic of Ingushetia, the Investigative Committee said on Tuesday.
The shootout broke out on Monday in the village of Verhny Alkun when the gunman opened fire on police during a document check.
After the shootout, police officers uncovered a Kalashnikov assault rifle, cartridges, and a gas helmet and mask at the scene.
