Egyptian authorities have detained an alleged Israeli agent over reported engagement in espionage during the popular revolution in the country, official news agency Mena said on Sunday.
The Egyptian police security caught the agent in a hotel in downtown Cairo on Sunday. The man was deprived form a laptop computer, CDs and flash memory containing important intelligence information that could threat Egypt’s interests, the official Al-Ahram newspaper reported on its website.
Egypt’s security service submitted to the Supreme State Security Court evidences proving the involvement of the agent in some major events in Egypt.
