Russian Emergency Ministry’s officers on Saturday rescued two young men and a woman on an improvised raft made of four barrels who have been washed into the Gulf of Finland.
“A man phoned to the call canter of the Emergencies Ministry at 6.40 p.m. local time by his cell phone. He said that he and other two persons were being washed into the Gulf of Finland,” the ministry said in a statement.
Two boats were immediately sent to find the castaways. The people in distress were found soon. “Two young men, born in 1985, and a woman, born in 1987, were drifting in the waters of the gulf on an improvised raft made of four barrels,” the statement said.
The ill-fated sailors were delivered back safe and sound.
