ASHGABAT, July 10 (Itar-Tass) —— Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov has made changes in the government.
More than 20 dismissing and appointing decrees and the same number of reprimands mostly to heads of regional administrations were signed after Friday’s government meeting that discussed the results of the first half of this year, the presidential press service reported on Saturday.
The vice-premiers in charge of financial and agricultural issues were replaced. Tuvakmammet Dzaparov, who was for three years in charge of the financial and budget area, was relieved of the position and appointed to head the Central Bank. Myratgeldy Akmammedov responsible for the agrarian sector was removed for the failure to carry out his duties.
Heads of more than 20 regional administrations received severe reprimands from the president for the inability to properly organize the work of farm producers to have rich wheat harvests.
Mammetniyaz Nurmammedov, who headed the Dashoguz regional administration, is appointed new vice-premier in charge of the agricultural sector. Finance Minister Annamukhamet Gochyev is appointed deputy government head for financial and bank issues. His deputy Dovletgeldy Sadykov is appointed to head the ministry. Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev heads of the Dashoguz regional administration. Previously he was rector at the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
The heads of the Building Materials Industry Ministry, the State Tourism and Sport Committee, the Turkmenatlary (Turkmen Horses) Association and the association of cattle breeding joint stock companies are replaced.
Annamyrat Polladov is appointed new editor of the central newspaper Turkmenistan. He is relieved of the position of deputy head of the country’s state news service.
