France Arrests Chechen

NICE, France — France has filed preliminary legal charges against a nightclub bouncer from Chechnya for alleged links to a terror group, officials said Saturday.

The suspect, who was not immediately identified, was arrested June 6 in a police raid in an apartment in a tough area of the southeastern city of Nice that is home to many Chechen expatriates, the officials said. He is suspected of ties to rebel leader Doku Umarov.
