Copter-borne and canine teams are scouring mountain slopes for a French hiker who is still unaccounted for hours after getting caught in a snow avalanche in the Swiss Alps.
He was one of a team of 11, of whom three are dead, and six are receiving attention for injuries and frostbites.
The 11th member is safe and well. He dug himself out and alerted the authorities to the disaster.
