The rebel administration of Libya, which calls itself the National Council, has offered Muammar Gaddafi a choice between ending resistance and renouncing power within three days or facing prosecution. Earlier reports said Gaddafi was convening Parliament for thrashing out a deal that gives his clan safety in exchange for a climb-down.
