The Spanish police says its latest house raids and arrests have destroyed a plot by the Basque separatist group ETA to launch a massive bombing campaign and assassinate the Basque Country government head Pacha Lopez. In four raids last week, officers seized a quarter ton of explosives, dozens of firearms and several manuals for coaching snipers.
