Russia believes it can join the World Trade Organization without approval by Georgia, which is already a member.
Foreign Minister Lavrov was speaking about this on Russian television Saturday in a reaction to Georgian insistence that Georgia must be allowed to control the Russian borders of South Ossetia and Abkhazia before this country can win WTO membership.
