The German power metal band Helloween is coming to Russia to play several dates here as part of a world tour in support of its most recent album, “7 Sinners.”
Formed in 1983 in Hamburg, Helloween is considered to be among the pioneers of the European power metal scene. The band came to prominence in 1988 with the release of its third studio album, “Keeper Of The Seven Keys, Pt. 2,” which fans consider to be a masterpiece of the genre.
Although Helloween’s heyday was in the 1980s, power metal fans still highly respect the band. And “7 Sinners,” the band’s 15th studio album, has generated pretty good reviews.
“With ‘7 Sinners,’ Helloween demonstrate once more that they are not merely the grand forefathers of melodic power metal, but also the reigning grand master,” wrote a reviewer for Dangerdog.
The Finnish band Stratovarius is to play the opening slot.
