Rebels are back in control of the eastern Libyan oil town of Marsa el Brega, the Al-Jazeera news channel reported on Monday.
The rebel National Council’s units recaptured the town after heavy fighting with pro-Gaddafi forces, Al-Jazeera reported.
In a separate development on Monday, pro-government forces intensified their siege around the rebel-held towns of Misurata and Zawiya, cutting off the delivery of food and energy supplies.
