RIA Novosti broadcasts live the special session of the International Future Media Forum titled “Russian and Foreign Media: Past, Present, Future”.
The session is organized by RIA Novosti in association with the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program (IFP Russia).
IFP Russia Director Oksana Oracheva and RIA Novosti Deputy Editor-in-Chief Valery Levchenko are expected to welcome the attendees.
Keynote speeches on new media will be delivered by Anna Kachkayeva, head of the Media Communications Department at the Russian Higher School of Economics, Oksana Silantyeva, IFP alumnus and media coach at the Higher School of Journalism.
Ivan Zasursky, editor-in-chief of the online newspaper Chastnyi Korrespondent, will moderate the debates.
A panel discussion on the media in developing nations will feature reports by young professionals from Brazil, Peru, China, India, Indonesia, and the Philippines, all of whom received IFP grants to study journalism and communications at some of the world’s most prestigious universities.
Another panel discussion, devoted to the latest changes on the media market in Russia’s regions, will feature Russian IFP alumni.
