A man committed suicide in Moscow on Friday by jumping out of the window with weightlifting weights tied to his neck, police said.
Eyewitnesses reported the incident to police on Friday morning, giving conflicting accounts of what had happened. Some said the man jumped out of the window together with the weights, while others said the weights were thrown from the window and hit a passerby.
Investigators have established that the four weights were tied to the man’s neck with a rope.
The man was 29 years old. The motives for his suicide were not clear.
