A farmer in Russia’s Altai region committed suicide by slashing his throat with a chainsaw during a drinking binge with his brother, regional investigators said on Friday.
According to investigations, the 55-year-old man was drinking heavily at his home with his younger brother who came for a visit.
“After some time the man went to the shed, cut his throat using a chainsaw and died at the scene,” the investigation report says.
Investigators are trying to determine if there are any criminal aspects in the case.
