Good news for all Beatle fans and those who care to hear some music from legendary Sir Paul McCartney. The ex -Beatle is setting on a European tour that will include visiting the Russian capital.
The Moscow gig will take place on December 14 at Olympiisky Arena. However those who are not able to attend will get a chance to catch up with the star in any of 10 other cities McCartney will visit as part of his On The Run tour.
Starting on November 13 in Dubai, the star will proceed to Bolonia and Milan, Paris, Cologne, London, Stockholm and Helsinki. Moscow will be the last city McCartney will visit before returning to England with two crowning shows in Manchester and his hometown of Liverpool.
The Moscow concert promises to be an exceptional performance as it will be only the third appearance by one of the Beatles’ founders in Russia. Previously he visited the country in 2003 (Moscow) and 2004 (St. Petersburg).
The organizers predict that McCartney will please his fans with a program of his best hits. Tickets to the show are already on sale.
The tour was named after the singer’s most successful studio album recorded together with Wings, a band he founded in 1971 after the Beatles fell apart. Wings released seven albums, including Band on the Run, which received a Grammy for the Best Pop Vocal Performance in 1975.
McCartney himself is the owner of five Grammy Awards. The musician, singer, composer, and producer he was named one of the world’s best bassists in history according to recent Rolling Stone magazine poll.
