NOVO-OGAREVO, July 29 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin does not rule out that Moscow may organise for other regions tenders for purchases of medical equipment.
Putin highly appreciated Moscow’s successful organisation of auctions.
“If somebody fails, I shall ask the healthcare ministry to speed up the work and will ask you to organise the tenders instead of them,” Putin told Moscow’s Mayor Sergei Sobyanin during their meeting on Friday.
Delays with organisation of tenders in some regions are caused by lack of understanding of the guidelines for auctions, Putin said.
Sobyanin reported that Moscow had organised two auctions for purchases of complex medical equipment, where the general financing made 3.8 billion roubles. The city plans to allocate 23 billion roubles for the purpose, where 50 percent come from the federal budget and the other 50 – from the city budget. Over the auctions, prices on the equipment were lowered by 45 percent, he added.
“Should the tendency remain, we shall save about 30 percent,” Sobyanin said adding that the city budget had allocated eight billion roubles for wages to doctors.
