KIEV, August 5 (Itar-Tass) —— The national Ukrainian gas major Naftogaz Ukrayiny has fully paid for the Russian gas imported in July, the press service of the company reported on Friday.
According to it Naftogaz has transferred to Gazprom some $477 mln (the price of the natural gas in the third quarter of 2011 equals $355 mln per 1,000 cbm with discount taken into consideration). Thus Naftogaz has imported in July some 1.34 bln cbm of gas.
The price of natural gas for Ukraine in the 1st quarter of the year was $264 for 1,000 cbm, in the 2nd – some $297 per 1,000 cbm.
Under current contracts Naftogaz is to pay in full to Gazprom till the seventh day of the month following the month of import.
